A typically poor seller and he may be an obvious choice but White On Black is in decent form in this type of race and can take another from Councillor Jack and Sonnengold. The selection was a soft ground Taunton scorer last time in claiming company and had previously gone close in a handicap. He has won on good on the level, so the ground should hold no evils for him and at the weights he looks the one to be on. Councillor Jack has his first British start since switching to join Evan Williams. This drop back in trip looks a plus, the ground suits and the change of scenery might spark him up a bit so he can go well. Sonnengold is a regular at this level but as you might expect he is an unreliable sort and as one who prefers cut he is overlooked today. Devito has conditions to suit, though the trip may be short of ideal, while Museo would probably want more juice in the ground and preference is for the in form White On Black.
