Fliquet Bay (IRE) Pulled up on last start (no visor or blinkers), but form prior to that is respectable. Wears blinkers today, and despite top weight could go well.
Tory Boy Won a similar selling hurdle at Huntingdon last time out over (2m4f). Recent form is only moderate but consistent; in this poor contest would be one to consider.
Barley Meadow (IRE) Most of recent form on GS and heavy ground, but ran well last time at Cartmel finishing third to Apadi (good ground); in this poor contest cannot be dismissed.
Sir Walter (IRE) UR first hurdle last time. Ran respectably on the flat to finish second at Chepstow, finished second at Chepstow in Selling Handicap Hurdle over 2m but does have some very dubious form prior to this.
Bekstar Lightly raced compared to a lot of horses in this contest. Last run was in May at Hereford where he finished ninth; does not have the form to suggest a win on the cards.
Mr Bean Ran well to finish second to Non Vintage at Uttoxeter in Handicap Chase. Has not won since August last year and would need to return to that form to win today.
Whatashot Won at Hexham in June on good ground with little in hand. Last run pulled up in soft ground.
Bint St James Ran creditably to finish fourth to Arthur's Kingdom in the soft ground at Cartmel last time. Had a lengthy break (Dec 99 to July 01); form is not impressive but possible chances.
Bangor Erris (IRE) An 8-year-old maiden whose best form would be probably be second at Exeter in heavy ground; makes little appeal.
Flutterbud Won one race in 1997; very unlikely winner.
Serious Trust Runs intermittently on the flat and over hurdles, was second at Wolverhampton in July and could be considered today.
Bow Bells Very moderate form, unlikely.
Jane Lechat Useful Bumper form, but nothing of note in her hurdle starts; would need to improve to win today.
Latterly (USA) Finished third behind Serious Trust at Wolverhampton in July. Ran thrid in Selling hurdle over shorter trip on penultimate start; not without a chance.
Salierious (NZ) Very moderate form, easy to oppose.
Regal Secret (IRE) Ran well to finish third to Auetaler at Uttoxeter in May; other form moderate, but if he runs up to his Uttoxeter form could have a chance.
Holloa Away (IRE) Had a two year abscence (April 99 to April 01). Return form moderate, but best run last time out finishing fourth to Leading Spirit.
Claudius Tertius Won when 3lbs out the Handicap at Sedgefield in August, subsequent runs disappointing but on his best form would have a chance.
Welcome Heights Makes little appeal.
Campden Kitty Has only had four starts, but nothing to suggest he is capable of winning today.
