FONGOLI is a speculative nomination ahead of Monty's Moon and Lords Bridge in this tricky selling handicap. The selection, who won at this course last year, drops to a more appropriate trip after failing to see out 3m2f at Newton Abbot last month and, as she is a willing partner for an inexperienced rider, there are a good number of reasons to give her another throw of the dice - not least because she is versatile regarding the ground and is one of those more likely to handle firm conditions. Lords Bridge has been kept busy since winning at this level at Perth in July. This is weaker than some of his recent assignments, so he is no forlorn hope in this company. Monty's Moon is just out of the weights, so obviously faces a stiff test. However, he too likes the track at Stratford, so can represent good value for a place in the frame. Scotsbrook Cloud is one to monitor from those likely to be available at double-figure odds in the morning markets.
