The Nicky Henderson-trained Tysou has been campaigned in very good company since his transition to fences and, although his completion record could be better, he will take plenty of beating at this level. The progressive six-year-old is preferred over the ultra-game Ei Ei, who goes very well at this course and will no doubt be the one to catch for a long way if he runs his usual race. However, he has been failing to get home since his blistering effort when setting the pace in the Paddy Power Chase and he may have to settle for a minor role again with such a progressive rival in opposition. It would also be folly to rule out a bold bid from Janiture, who is set to receive plenty of weight from the duo at the top of the racecard, and the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding is one to monitor for speculative interest before the race, whereas Kandjar D'Allier has plenty to find and is the easiest of the quartet to avoid today. In summary then, Tysou has been found a good opportunity to brush up on his jumping and he can collect a chunk of prize-money for his connections if he negotiates a clear round.
