CHIMED is a rare runner for Sir Michael Stoute’s yard here though punters face a dilemma as for all his ability, the gelding has been turned over as a short-priced favourite on his last three starts. Golden Keeper will re-oppose on this occasion having finished just ahead of his fellow Newmarket raider when they met at Pontefract and there had been money for him ahead of that assignment. Tradesman realised a fair sum at the sales and is already gelded prior to a first appearance on the racecourse while Byker went for a little less money and connections have been patient following a fairly ordinary effort in what was a solid Newmarket maiden.
