Dubai Meydan is a tentative pick with Edgbaston and Master Spy making some appeal on paper. The selection ran in the Dewhurst Stakes last season and while running no sort of race, it was a keen endorsement for him from a trainer not noted for audacious tilts at windmills. Edgbaston is very much bred in the blue and raised 320 000 guineas at the sales. He is bred to come into his own over middle distances in time. Master Spy was tried under positive tactics at Nottingham and does have the advantage of race fitness. Flying Squad has been tried in bumpers but is bred on distinctly flat lines so is one to note in the market with interest. St Michael's Mount has been easy to back in two recent starts but cannot be discounted in what isn't the strongest of races. Plenty of Newmarket trainers take their chances and Dubai Meydan looks most likely to score on what we have seen so far.
