      Verdict

      Hits Only Jude, Ginger Princess and Mind Alert are the three for the shortlist in this contest and the vote goes to Mind Alert. The selection was not beaten far in a competitive handicap at Kempton last time when he had the worst of the draw. Under the circumstances that was a good effort and he looks as though he could be the value call. Hits Only Jude won really well here last time but this looks more competitive and he does have a penalty to overcome. Ginger Princess has got some decent form but she is better over further, while Avontuur looks vulnerable today under a 6lbs penalty. Mind Alert could be the answer to a tricky contest.
