In depth

Verdict

Dickie Le Davoir, Grimes Faith and Sir Douglas make most appeal in this claimer and the vote goes to Dickie Le Davoir. The selection disappointed last time in a handicap but he has been running well in this grade and now that he is eased back into a claimer he should take plenty of beating. Grimes Faith was beaten in this grade last time but he may have had excuses as he was denied a clear run at a critical time in the race and with this in mind he could be worth another chance. Sir Douglas has got some fair form but all his three wins so far have come at Wolverhampton. He has run well here in the past as well though and he merits plenty of respect in this company. Goodbye Cash chased home our selection last time but it is hard to see him reversing the placings on these terms and for the winner we will stick with Dickie Le Davoir.
