We like the claims of TEMPLE OF THEBES here, and he's selected ahead of High Curragh and My Gacho. Ed Dunlop's filly, the first ever winner at Great Leighs, won't have any problems with the surface. She prefers left handed courses and enjoys the benefit of being drawn in stall one. High Curragh is on a lengthy losing run, but has earned his keep over the years. He was a decent second in a similar contest at Ayr last time out, and should be at the vanguard once more. My Gacho gives weight away all round and carries a 6 pound penalty for winning a similar contest here last week. He's Mark Johnston's only runner on the card, and that could be significant. Mesbaah is the only runner not to have won over course and or distance. It looks a very competitive heat, and we'll be supporting Temple of Thebes.
