Kelamon heads our shortlist for this sprint handicap, being marginally preferred to Sir Boss and Whitbarrow. All are helped with jockeys claiming varying allowances. The selection has yet to win on an all-weather surface, but has shown himself capable of handing different conditions, so it's not a concern here. Billy Cray can claim a useful 7 pounds, keeping him on terms with some of the other likely fancies, despite winning two of his last three races, and he was narrowly beaten in the other. Sir Boss and Whitbarrow have the highest official ratings; the former won at Doncaster last month but has since been disappointing in handicap company. He's among several here who could be keen to front run, so there could be a decent pace on, and Whitbarrow will be expected to be in the vanguard too. He was a little unlucky not to win at Great Leighs last time out at a decent price, when headed by Diriculous, but expect him to be much shorter today. Plenty here do have claims, but we'll stick with Kelamon.
