Most of these are very lightly raced, so with little form to go on, a fairly tentative selection is West Leake, ahead of Digger Derek and Lesley's Choice. West Leake has had a couple of cracks over 6 furlongs at Windsor this month without much success, so the drop back together with a slower track may suit. He's Barry Hills only runner on the card and Michael Hills only ride, before they head off to Windsor. Digger Derek's being stepped back in trip too, from 7 to 5 furlongs, following a couple of runs at Catterick. He's one of two Richard Fahey runners, the other being Royal Max. Lesley's Choice has been placed twice at this level in his three runs to date, last time out though he was disappointing over 6 so also drops back. With those three runs behind him, he's the most experienced of all the runners. The Cuckoo and Valdemar are making their debuts; most of these are having their first run on the fibre sand, and it does look to be a fairly open affair. But we'll side with West Leake.
