      Verdict

      ANTONIO GRAMSCI made a promising start when beaten only a head at Ripon in June. His readiness for action has to be taken on trust but he has little to beat in this and David Barron's charge gets the nod. Pull The Pin has gone close on this surface but over the longer trip of a mile and Bapak Bangsawan makes more appeal on his earlier second over course and distance. Auntie Mildred and Lady Calantha are harder to fancy but the newcomer My Name Is Rio wouldn't have to be anything special to figure.
