        Verdict

        Alexej drops down to 6f for the first time and has plenty of scope for improvement if handling the surface. But ASTRO JAKK has won three times here in the past and returns only 2lb higher than when landing a double at Newcastle at the end of last year. He makes more appeal in this grade than recent course and distance winner Gabrial The Devil, who beat Katheefa on that occasion while Zylan finished well ahead of runner-up Zapper Cass when successful over track and trip last week and could go well again despite today’s penalty.
