Verdict
A moderate contest with the top weight rated just 54. Now Then Sophie turned in her best performance here behind runaway winner Vanbrugh earlier this month, but she has been well beaten since and it would be a surprise if there wasn't something to beat her on these terms. Leitrim Rock has at least won a race, but he looks to be going the wrong way, while John's Champ, who wasn't beaten far in an apprentice race last time, will benefit from the stronger handling here, and should go well. A chance is taken with Janes Gem, who doesn't look badly treated on her run behind Senor Pedro, in what was a competitive seller at Wolverhampton, over this trip last month. She should again take care of Pertemps Bianca on these terms and can give Alan Bailey another winner having been successful with Occam in a similar grade last week.
