        Verdict

        Ragad is the pick over Going Skint and Pikaboo, with the market best watched for the rest. Ragad has been steadily going the right way judged on three efforts so far, including three weeks ago when second to Cross Of Lorraine at Wolverhampton. That was his third consecutive appearance on the Polytrack, and as he has been tapped for toe, it is hoped that the switch to this slower surface will prove the answer. In any case, he has shown more scope than his rivals, and looks the one to beat. In contrast to the selection, Going Skint has done all his racing on this surface so far and does look to be going the right way. However, he shapes as though an extra furlong would not go amiss and is taken on with that in mind. Pikaboo has had two educational outings and is destined to go handicapping. That is when to take an interest in the Stuart Willams inmate, but for now we shall side with Ragad.
