Dan Di Canio, and Three Ships look the principals in this desperate maiden and the confident vote is given to Dan Di Canio. The selection has been in fair form of late without winning but a reproduction of his latest second behind Seldamosa should suffice here and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Three Ships rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Abbeygate but he gave the impression he would be suited by a longer trip on that occasion and for that reason he is opposed. Whitchelle is one of the least exposed in the field and is open to improvement so is wortrh noting in the market. The remainder have shown virtually nothing to date and are readily opposed and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Dan Di Canio.
