In depth

Verdict

NOBBY (NAP) went off a 2/5 shot when beaten at Hexham on the first day of the month but the winner is potentially interesting and the overall profile of the selection makes him the one to beat, notably his previous effort behind Gowel Road and Good Ball - two classy sorts - at Newbury in February after a 702-day absence. He is well worth another chance. Gregor has yet to jump a hurdle in public but has shown promise in bumpers for the Skeltons and is respected, as is Byzantine Empire, a John Gosden maiden on the Flat who's suggested he could have a future over timber on both starts to date.
