      Verdict

The old-timer Redoubtable stormed to victory here last time and it would be nice to see him go in again, however he has to give away six pounds to his rivals and so we will give the vote to Jalouhar, with Prince Of Perles and Star Lad put forward as dangers. The selection returned to form last time when third in an amateur riders event over course and distance, finishing a gallant third to Repeat. This event doesn't look as difficult and he could be the one to be on. Prince Of Perles has similar credentials having shown very little before chasing home Off Hire over course and distance last month, he should be capable of making the frame. Star Lad is not the most trustworthy of performers but comes into the argument on his fourth to Star Fern over course and distance. All in all this is a very poor contest and Jalouhar should be up to winning first prize
