In depth

Verdict

Champagne Present had raced in stronger company before gaining a hard-fought victory over three miles at Ludlow. He has a penalty to carry and takes a drop in trip and better value may lie with MOIDORE, who hasn't run over hurdles for over three years but was busy enough on the Flat last summer and won a two mile handicap at Newcastle. He could improve enough to give the likely odds-on favourite a fright. Bells 'N' Banjos, a winning bumper, was still in touch when falling at Huntingdon and he looks comfortably the best of the remainder.
