Another small field but a very competitive affair with East Cape taken to land the spoils from King Priam Buz Kiri and Paddy Mul. We are taking a chance that East Cape can bounce back to form, because his last couple of outings have been far from inspiring. However if he can get anywhere near the form he showed in October when a close second to Amir Zaman he should beat these rivals. Buz Kiri finally got off the mark at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago but that was a very weak race and today's extra couple of furlongs is a bit of a worry. King Priam ran well for a long way last week behind Bella Pavlina and could make his presence felt. Meanwhile Paddy Mul comes into the reckoning on his recent course victory over Kagoshima. So not a race to risk your mortgage but East Cape holds very strong claims.
