The in-form Mind Alert is fancied to be the one to be on today, while Diamond Katie, Piccolo Prince and Guadaloup are expected to make the selection aware of their presence. Guadaloup is better than she has consented to show in her last couple of outings, so is likely to represent good value in the betting. The Loup Sauvage mare is only 2lb higher than her previous winning mark, so she has a feasibly good chance at the weights. Piccolo Prince has good form here and, despite also appearing to have lost his of late, it would come as no surprise to see him bounce back at this level. He is worth noting in the betting. Diamond Katie reverts to a more suitable trip today and has to be shortlisted as a threat on the best of her form. Duran Fentiman got a good tune out of Nigel Tinkler's mare at Wolverhampton last time and the rider's 5lb claim does her no harm this afternoon. However, Mind Alert has been a touch more consistent of late and, although not one for the mortgage, this course specialist is fancied to be hard to beat this afternoon.
