Verdict
Not a lot of form to go on in many cases so Grey Light rates a tentative pick ahead of Doubtful Sound and Bobby Rose. There won't have been too many Sheikh Mohammed owned runners taking their chances around here and while it is worrying that the 150 000gns purchase has already had the unkindest cut of all, he doesn't appear to have too much opposition if he is up to the task. Doubtful Sound has a dirt-bred pedigree and gave a good account on a first outing at Dunstall Park. He was ahead of a 61-rated rival on that day and was giving weight. Bobby Rose has looked a little unlucky to not get off the mark but excuses are starting to wear thin. Dramatic ran lamentably last time out and should not be discounted from bouncing back to form. Not Now Lewis has a fair draw today whilst Belvedere Vixen has shunned easier opportunities than this. Grey Light is an interesting runner and the hint is taken.
