Hardly an original choice, but Lakelands Lady has been in a rich vein of form on the sand recently and despite a 10lb rise for her latest win almost a month ago, she still looked to have more to come and she should be followed until beaten. The mare is effective over both a mile and today's trip of 7f, with this being arguably her optimum, and in a small field she should be able to dominate once again and can see off her rivals to make it a four-timer. Wahoo Sam showed plenty of ability at this sort of level last year, winning at the track over 6f and then taking a fast ground race over 7f at Thirsk when last seen out in July. David Barron knows exactly what it takes to get them ready to win first time back here, so any market moves should be noted for stable confidence. Of the other pair Yellow River is preferred, having shown a bit of ability by winning a seller over course and distance in November, though this is much tougher.
