Amber Glory, The City Kid and Sounds Simla stand out on ratings here and, accordingly, form the shortlist, with our vote going to The City Kid A visor has certainly aided the concentration of The City Kid, who won a course and distance maiden last time. Running in a claimer now is probably a practical option as her handicap mark might prove hard to win from and, accordingly, she gets the call. Amber Glory finished fourth here last time on his all-weather debut, running from a mark of 70. There's no getting away from the fact that that level of form stands up to scrutiny here and he cannot be left out of proceedings. Neither can Sounds Simla, whose very good Warwick run last time came from a mark of 80, which makes her very competitive although she has yet to race on the all-weather. Finally, Aysgarth Flyer improved for the application of blinkers last time and, to be fair, won well, although more will be needed today, and Diktalex has nearly two lengths to find on that run. All of which returns us to the choice, which is The City Kid.
