The three to note here are Dreams Jewel, Lady Pilot and Cavendish with the vote going to the last named. The selection was a solid winner of a Yarmouth handicap on the weekend just gone. Connections are keen to run quickly before he is reassessed. He therefore carries a seven pound penalty for his troubles but on the evidence of his form this year he looks to have come to himself and is well worth staying on the right side of. Lady Pilot has not been seen on the flat since last April when completing a hat- trick of wins at Kempton and Southwell. She is now ten pounds higher than when winning the first of those and she has been kept busy over the winter months over hurdles in which she managed to pick up a race at Huntingdon and pick up some place prize money on the way. She will be fit and as long as the handicapper has not caught up with her she will have to go close. As will Dreams Jewel who is another who has shot up in the weights as a result of his success. He managed to win off a mark of 50 here in February and won an amateur riders event at Woverhampton off 56. He has run in defeat off his new career high mark but he carries top weight which will not help his chances. So for the winner we return to Cavendish.
