Shot To Fame can take advantage of this drop in grade at the expense of Oi Vay Joe and Bolton Hall. The selection is well favoured at the weights with most of his rivals and on the pick of some of last years efforts he has to go close. He was capable of finishing second on testing ground at Newcastle and put in some fair efforts throughout the year. Having said that he has become increasingly harder to win with and although beaten in a claimer last time out this race looks weaker so he is taken to get his head in front here. Oi Vay Joe is the top rated in the race with a rating of 73 to his name. He does wear blinkers for the first time and connections will be hoping that they will rev him up a gear or two. On his form of two seasons ago he would clean up here but his form of last year and his poor effort first time out means he is not one to trust. Bolton Hall is another that drops in grade here and another that has in the past shown solid enough form to be treated with respect. He did run well on his penultimate run when finishing third in a Wolverhampton handicap but failed to trouble the judge at Kempton last time out but having said that any market moves should be noted. A tricky race to call but for the winner we return to Shot To Fame.
