PADDY RIELLY is on a run of consistency and has a solid chance of gaining a deserved success here. King Of The Beers, a winner on his penultimate start, is in great heart and can pose a few problems; despite being burdened with top weight, while Cragganmore Creek is also holding his form well and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. The sentimentalists out there may also consider a small punt on Red River Rebel, who makes only his second start since July 2007. The veteran has the heart of a lion and, if his legs still match his attitude, he could make the frame at a nice price. However, Paddy Rielly, who won over course and distance last September, is on an attractive mark (3lb lower than his c&d win) and, having proved he is near the top of his game with a series of near misses, the David Evans-trained gelding looks the safer bet on this occasion.
