AGGBAG is likely to give us a good run for the money in a race low on quality and even lower on reliable options; Dream Theme has to be of interest at this level, while Cap St Jean and Elusive Warrior are others capable of hitting the frame if they decide to play ball today. Elusive Warrior is effective at this course and gets on well with James Doyle. He has a fair record of producing a return for each-way punters, so deserves a place on the shortlist. Cap St Jean is another regular performer in this grade and has also built up a good relationship with today's pilot. However, with just two wins from 32 previous starts; the statistics hardly suggest it's going to be his turn again today. Dream Theme would pick this lot up and carry them if he were able to run anywhere near his official rating of 82; so must be of interest here. The son of Distant Music dramatically lost his way at the end of his time with Barry Hills and even the switch David Nicholls' yard is yet to return any dividends. However, this is a big drop in class for him and it would be hugely disappointing if he cannot play a prominent role. Nevertheless, his odds are likely to e cramped for a horse with so much to prove, so it can pay to look elsewhere - with Aggbag making the most appeal for a small each-way interest. The five-year-old has put together a series of near misses but has very little to find to get competitive in this company. Being drawn in stall two can help and, with the likelihood of double figure odds to tempt us in, the prospect of a fair return on Aggbag can set the pulse racing in an otherwise dull event.
