Spirit Of Nguru has been knocking on the door the last twice and William Haggas will surely find an opening for him sooner or later, with a tongue tie now added to cheekpieces. However, this is his first shot at six furlongs and a watching brief, albeit somewhat reluctantly, is advised. JUSTCALLMEPETE - on a four-timer - and Intervention came home one-two in a pretty decent sprint handicap here under a week ago and there should be less between them now as the winner carries a 5lb penalty. He did impress with the style of his victory though and this in-form gelding is taken to make it four on the bounce. The other four can all have a case made for their chance in a decent Class 3 contest, with the admirably consistent Tyger Bay making most appeal of the quartet.
