      Verdict

      MIDNIGHT SHOT made mistakes in the early stages on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter but gradually warmed to his task and won easily in the end. He looks one to follow and should encounter few problems here, despite his penalty. Monksgold was well beaten at Uttoxeter but Age Of Discovery ran well until the second-last when third at Wincanton and should make the frame again.
