Bang In Tune has been given many opportunities of late and although usually running well has failed to get his head in front including last time when he had the assistance of Kieren Fallon. He is overlooked here in favour of top weight Gilded Cove who showed ability last time out at Wolverhampton and although making his Southwell debut here looks fairly weighted and is less exposed than most of these. He is the selection for the in-form Reg Hollinshead yard. Davos is respected from Nick Littmoden's stable and has run well at this track in the past, winning a seller last season, and now looks reasonably rated in what is not a strong handicap. Blandys could be an outsider to consider having run competently on this surface in the past and he shaped last time out as a return to this six furlong trip would suit.
