In depth

Verdict

LA DIOSA is the selection with Amazing Blue Sky and Urban Space the dangers. George Baker's filly does have to prove an ability to handle the fibresand but she looks to have found her niche in this grade and she is better off at these terms than if it were a handicap. Amazing Blue Sky put up a reasonable effort in first time blinkers. The step up in trip may bring about some improvement though he seems modest. Urban Space drops in grade for the first time and Chris Catlin presumably would have had the choice of a couple of mounts. Augusta Gold is back in blinkers after a moderate effort without them at Lingfield. The official BHA figures suggest that Dispol Diva and Canucatcher will be struggling this afternoon. La Diosa is selected in a race that makes limited betting appeal.
