The consistent Hiamovi is taken to see off the challenge of Rancho Cucamonga, with Tyrone Sam and Cerebus likely to be involved. Hiamovi has been a revelation since being fitted with blinkers, having won twice and been placed second in his last six starts, and there is no reason why he should not be there again with Kieren Fallon in the saddle. Robert Cowell's charge tried hard to give weight to all in a five-furlong claimer at Wolverhampton last time but was just touched off, and the step back up in trip today should be a bonus. Front running tactics suit him well, so do not be surprised if Fallon tries to jump out and make all. Rancho Cucamonga has cost us dearly already this year and has to give weight to the selection here. However, it would be folly to rule her out and she should be there or thereabouts. Tyrone Sam won over the course and distance last year, albeit in selling company, and may do better dropped back in trip, a comment that also applies to Cerebus. Hiamovi thrives on his racing though and will prove hard to pass.
