In depth

Verdict

MISS OVERDRIVE is the speculative selection ahead of Hayes Princess and Moscow Jewel. A full sister to the smart Over Sixty, there is clearly some scope if pedigree is a guide and if forward enough today, she should be capable of going close. Hayes Princess obliged at 25/1 on debut. That race was staged at a funereal gallop so the form should be taken with a degree of caution. Oliver Sherwood has had a 50% strike rate with his runners so don't rule out Moscow Jewel. If she has any ability, the 2000 euros price tag could be the snip of the century. Shayaza was bred very much with the flat in mind and could be anything. On And Up may be one to watch when sent over a trip in time. Silver Sonnet will be a big price after a poor run last time out. That said, she did shape with plenty of promise on her previous visit to this track. A race for watching rather than punting and Miss Overdrive secures the recommendation on this occasion.
