    Verdict

GALAXY ROCK is a confident selection ahead of Simple Jim and Alfloramoor. Jonjo O' Neill accomplished the aim with a victory off a low mark on handicap debut and on that form, it is more than conceivable that he can run up a sequence. Simple Jim is better known on the artificial surface at this racecourse but has shown a degree of ability on good ground so don't be surprised if he runs a decent race here. Alfloramoor won well at Doncaster and from an unfashionable yard, there is always a chance that he will be bigger odds that this form entitles. Pelo De Bief is completely exposed but he is consistent and each-way investors will doubtless be interested. Gremlin was a smart horse on the flat but his hurdling career has been an unmitigated disaster thus far. Tarkesar was a frustrating character when trained by Paul Blockley so he shouldn't be written off too readily. Russian Invader did win under similar conditions for Alan King but he has cut little ice so far for Richard Guest. Monfils Monfils has been busy on the all-weather this winter. Galaxy Rock looks incredibly well handicapped at present and cannot be opposed.
