A big field for the day’s feature. Dark Shot, a winner here on Fibresand, ran a cracker at Goodwood last month and is only a pound higher here. Gowanlad has placed here but does most of his racing at Newcastle and hasn’t run since March. Badri will have to overturn Wolverhampton running with Society Lion but won in a higher grade here last month. Lilikian has claims and So Grateful is a recent course and distance winner but Sergeant Tibbs is 0-4 on the all-weather. Gannon Glory is having a first run on an artificial surface but fellow three-year-old PHINOW has won at Wolverhampton and placed at Chelmsford. He was hampered in the closing stages last time and can gain compensation here with the inside berth to help.
