East Cape was tackling today's trip of 1m6f for the first time when scoring decisively in similar company last month and, now that connections know that he stays, he looks a good bet to follow up at the main expense of Stravmour and Bergamo. The last mentioned ran well enough over hurdles at Catterick on Wednesday and has to be respected along with Stravmour, who did not seem to stay two miles last time but should be ideally suited by today's trip. Next Flight has yet to prove that he stays this far, while Paddy Mul is held by the selection on running last time. East Cape was confidently ridden to win here last month and, if in the same mood, should be too good for his rivals again.
