        Verdict

        Samasana hit the front a couple of furlongs out and stayed on well to score over a mile here last week. Today's drop back in trip won't be a problem on that evidence, but third placed J J LEARY will be. He was having only his second start since last May on that occasion and Ian William's charge rates the selection re-opposing on better terms with plenty of scope for further progress. First Bid's placed efforts at this track give him a chance, while Son Of May looks best of the remainder judged on his earlier efforts over 6f on the Fibresand.
