      Verdict

      Louisiade is proven in this grade and John Harris's gelding is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Local Poet and Shifty. The selection has won over nine furlongs before so this return to a mile should not trouble him and as he has been doing his best work at the finish over seven, it looks a sensible move. Mark Coumbe can take off a handy 7lbs and from a good draw he can be sided with. Local Poet has won at the track before but has been fairly well-held of late in recent outings and needs to step up slightly, especially as he is not well-treated at the weights in comparison to Louisiade. Shifty is a course and distance winner but needs to bounce back to form, whilst Music Celebre needs watching in the betting coming back from a break. Art Of Being was poor over hurdles and looks equally as bad on the flat, whilst Stepaside was held behind the selection two starts back and has it all to do again today. Lousiade then is the one who receives the vote.
