The very speedily-bred JOHNNY JAMES made most on his belated debut on fast ground at Catterick earlier this month and should have plenty more in the tank. He can defy a penalty though Victory Flagship has shown very good pace in both starts on softer ground so today's conditions should enable him to get competitive. Kitten Gloves stayed on well over 6f at Wolverhampton but pulled too hard on her next start at Kempton and Sidney's Son found Beverley's stiff 7f against him after a couple of better efforts at Newcastle.
