      Verdict

      Serenity Now scored over course and distance before winning an amateurs’ race over a shorter trip here and is 4lb higher today. Epitaph is another course winner over 1m4f while several debut on the Fibresand including Coeur de Lion. The latter has been hurdling since placing over 2m at York while Mixboy won twice on the Flat last year and landed a chase at Musselburgh last month. ST MARY’S (NAP) also tries her luck on this surface after finishing runner-up in a tough conditions race at Lingfield behind Watersmeet. That’s the strongest form on offer and Andrew Balding can boast a fine strike rate at this venue.
