Plenty of flicking through the bloodstock books for this Junior Bumper over one mile six furlongs with just the three of the field having taken to the racecourse in public but having had that experience and shown promise we'll just side with MIDNIGHT OPERA ahead of the flat bred Woolfall Hawk while Reverend Green should be better than his debut suggested. Related to the high-class flat performer and national hunt sire Supreme Leader the pick went some way to showing his pedigree with a place on his debut over this trip at Ffos Las. He was finishing well that day and given he should know his job better now he can make that experience count. Woolfall Hawk has a pretty decent flat background related to a group three winner as well as the high-class middle-distance performer Predappio. This trip then should be about right and a good first effort is in the offing. Reverend Green was a little disappointing on his first outing running a bit too keenly to do himself justice. He should be capable of more as a relation to a Irish 1000 Guineas winner so he's not ruled out completely. Jersey Boys has a bit of speed in his pedigree and in this sort of race it's difficult to tell if this trip will suit so a safer bet seems to be Midnight Opera to build on experience already gained.
