Verdict

Ballyquin has been in fine form on the Polytrack though is penalised for winning at Chelmsford last week as he debuts on this surface. Gentlemen landed a double elsewhere on the all-weather last month but acts on the Fibresand and an apprentice’s allowance helps his cause while Global Exceed returned to action with a decent third here last time and has switched yards subsequently. But CROSSE FIRE won this in 2017 and has been threatening a return to winning ways. He finished ahead of both The Great Wall and Related when runner-up here on his latest start and gets the vote on that form.
