Verdict

Cosmelli, five times a winner in Italy, scored over 1m4f here in 2018 before a shock victory in a consolation race for the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle. He was having only his second start on this track when well beaten last month but is back over his best trip and on his lowest ever mark. Gang Warfare has been in very poor form over hurdles and stable companion Soloist finished a long way last at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. Charlie D makes a quick reappearance after attempting to make all over the trip at Wolverhampton on Monday where he could only stay on at one pace when headed 2f out. He should be better for the run, his first since October, but he's never run here and the greater track experience of TYNECASTLE PARK, who has won four times here and will be receiving 20lb with his rider's claim taken into account, may prove too much for him.
