    Verdict

    Gordalan, an 8 lengths winner at Catterick when last seen on the Flat, has been well beaten over timber recently and was due to run in the 4.50 at Newcastle yesterday. Princess Harley gained her third course and distance victory last month and though raised 4lb she should be capable of winning from this mark. However, ADJUTANT was rated 88 after scoring at Wolverhampton in 2018 and won twice over hurdles last summer. He also ran well over timber at Newcastle last month so a chance is taken he handles the surface. Seven Clans, a winner on Polytrack and Tapeta, has run very well in both starts over this track and trip while Tigray gained his only career success here in April and is 2lb lower.
