        Verdict

        A return to seven furlongs and the application of a visor may see another improved effort from Mrs Bun, however FLORES SEA shaped well in defeat last time at the track and is taken to oblige here ahead of Norcroft. David Barron's gelding was only beaten by a head last time out when he got going too late in the day. The handicapper has left him on a mark of 70 and having won off this mark before, there is no reason to think that he won't go close today. Bright Falcon's last few runs have been poor but he is now down to a mark of 66 so any sustained market support would be interesting, Norcroft has been holding his form well and has a fine record at this venue, whilst Obe Royal continues to run well-enough in defeat but he is unlikely to win as his record suggests (2 wins from 51 starts). Haroldini represents a stable that go well at the track. John Balding's Nottinghamshire base have sent 26 winners to this track in the last five years and backing them blind would have resulted in a healthy profit. Run Free's latest two runs have been lacklustre and although he has a fine record here, he is hard to put forward with any level of confidence. A tricky handicap, but we will plump for Flores Sea.
