Verdict
A decent little contest and a chance is taken with Denbera Dancer, who edges preference from Tilapia and Master Pegasus. Top weight Granston is also dangerous to rule out but he is on a long losing run and can be frustrating to side with. Master Pegasus is capable on a couple of the other artificial surfaces but has yet to race here and Southwell. So it may be best to gauge the betting market before getting involved with Chris Wall's charge. Tilapia is a typical improved from Sir Mark Prescott's yard and has to be respected. He was entitled to have been in need of the run last time out and would be dangerous to underestimate. Quite whether he will represent the best value in a race of this nature is open to debate and, as he has been well held in this sort of company of late, he needs to pull out all the stops today. Therefore, it can be worth taking a chance with Denbera Dancer, who has more scope for improvement than the rest. He is closely matched with Claret And Amber and it will be interesting to see the match between them today. Admittedly, Mark Johnston's charge - a full brother to the classy Rumplestiltskin - is yet to fulfil his potential but, on these terms, he looks worth an investment to small stakes.
