A selling hurdle where a large discrepancy exists with some of the contenders ratings and the form on offer is moderate to say the least. Kingscourt Lad is a very tentative selection despite some very lacklustre form in recent months. A winner on his final start before a break in February, he has contested two sellers since then and ultimately disappointed. Front running tactics were not applied on his last two outings even though he has shown a preference to race with the pace. If allowed to bowl along it could well revitalize him. The ex-Alan King trained Poliglotti made his debut for the Martin Keighley yard last time. He indicated some promise in novice hurdles last season but has regressed. Cheeckpieces are now tried in order to bring about some spark. Sualda would have claims on the best of his form but has not won in almost two years while market support for El Dee would be noteworthy. His recent form would leave him in with a chance. Shalati Princess has switched Welsh stables and it would be no surprise to see improvement forthcoming. She is a maiden after 33 starts but the Vaughan yard are in fine form and on snippets of her best form she would have each way claims but we will side with Kingscourt Lad.
