HORSESHOE REEF sets a useful standard in this maiden hurdle and should take all the beating leaving Nulato and the progressive Transformer fighting for minor prizes. About average on the flat the selection has looked improved since taking to life over timber. He's found just the one too good in each of his last two starts, including in a Novice event last time, and has picked up some useful looking form lines in the process Nulato has a bit to do based on the ratings but his run behind Voramar Two in a Novice race last time may look better before they get underway for this; he also showed plenty of promise in bumpers. Transformer was a moderate winner on the level but has improved in two runs since switching to this medium. He'll need to improve again if he is to win this but he does receive weight from the other leading lights. Lord Of Seheyl has big place claims form a likely nice price based on his last appearance but Horseshoe Reef should win this.
