A fair claimer by Southwell's standards with many holding sound claims. Mount Royale has been difficult to catch right but he was given an inspired ride to beat Rudik last time out. Winning doesnt come easy to the Tinkler charge but he should run well today. David Nicholls should have a line of form on him though and Tayif is the one to beat. Rated 73, he has plenty in hand on his rivals although the suggestion is that this six furlongs is probably his ideal trip. Norma Macauley's team look to have turned the corner after a spell in the doldrums and we will side with Dil. The gelding has ran soundly over six furlongs but his style of racing suggests that seven furlongs should not be a problem. Weetman's Weigh is a delightful individual who is arguably a much more realistic proposition over a mile these days. Night Market has become terminally disappointing after glimpses of ability as a juvenile. Dusty Wugg looks the best of the rest although she invariably finds one too good.
